Squirrel cage rotor
For 33 years we have been putting the copper rotor bars into air bearing spindles. Typically these spindles rotate at 100,000 to 300,000+ rpm. The trick is to get the copper to stick to the steel. We do not manufacture the spindles...all we do is put the rotor windings in as a sub contract manufacturing process. Sounds simple but our customers do give us a hard time pushing the boundaries of physics to cope with ever increasing speeds.e.mail onygena@onetel.com
