Entoloma nitidum Date observed:- 4th October 1996 Habitat:- In thick bed of pine needles in very dense dark plantation of Douglas Fir. They were placed on the background shown in the picture to provide sufficient light to take the pictures. Scale:- 1.5 x life size Description:- Cap blue, brittle. Stem blue at top becoming white/streaked with blue at base. Stem tapers very strongly to base. Very Brittle. Gills white in young specimen but tinged pink in older specimens. The blue colour of the cap shows through the gills.
