Habitat:-          Rams horn lying on surface of dark forest floor

Location:-         Hendre Berfedd 

Scale:-            x 1.5

Description:-      Many hundreds of white fungi growing on inside and 

                   outside surfaces of rams horn.  

                   I rate this as my most interesting find of the year.

Update:-           Second horn found 15 metres away from first on 20th January

                   1998. Similarly covered with fungi but definitely past their

                   best.
