Omphalina luteovitellina

Date observed:- 16th March 1997 Habitat:- Mixed peat/moss/grass and woody bits. Location:- Hendre Berfedd Scale:- 1.5 x life size Spore print:- White If it were not for the unmistakeable structure of this fungus I would have doubts about my identification. The 5 specimens observed range from pale brown to pale yellow and were found at an elevation of 300 metres in March. My textbooks suggest an elevation of 700+ metres from late summer to autumn.
